Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation is proud to announce our Fourth Annual Whistle Blow. Presented by the Railroadiana Collectors Association and Scale Trains to be held Saturday, October 5, 2024. Enthusiasts from all over the country will be able to bring their collections and hear the sounds of steam echo through the valley.

This is a family-friendly event and FREE to attend thanks to our sponsors.  In addition to our presenting sponsor, we'd also like to thank sponsors Rail & Road Auctions, Country Boy Brewing, Bo and Brynda Brown and The Harpole Family.

The whistle blow will occur from 3:30 - 9 pm on October 5, 2024. 

1:00 – 1:30 p.m. : Set-up of whistles

1:30 – 4:30 p.m. : Afternoon session

4:30 – 6:00 p.m. : Supper break

6:00 – 8:30 p.m. : Evening session

Whistle Blow Prices:  

$25.00 per whistle (maximum of 10)  

$40.00 “Toot All Day Pass” (wristband or badge sold online prior to event); for those that don’t bring whistles. 

$1.00 per blow for attendees (individual tickets sold at event)

2024 Whistle Blow Specifications/Terms and Conditions

· Each whistle must be able to attach to a 2-inch NPT female outlet on the manifold.

· Each whistle’s “bell” must be a minimum of 3 inches in diameter.  No exceptions will be made.

· It is the responsibility of the owner to make sure each whistle has a proper working valve that safely and securely fits the whistle.

· Owners are welcome to switch out fittings, valves, etc. on their whistles throughout the event in the staging area.

· Whistles under 4 inches in diameter and less will be grouped together and blown on reduced steam pressure to ensure safety.

· Priority will be given to the owners of whistles which have been pre-registered prior to the day of the event.

· Registration of the whistle will allow the owner to blow the whistle an unlimited amount of times while the whistle is on the manifold.

· Whistles may be subject to inspection before placing on manifold for safety.

The Kentucky Steam Heritage Corporation (KSHC) is a Kentucky based 501 c(3) non-profit organization operating with the intent to educate, entertain and inspire past, current and future generations by operating historic rail equipment. The hallmark of our efforts is the restoration of Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Steam Locomotive 2716 to operation. The restoration and operation of 2716 and other historic pieces will prove to be living history and will serve as an educational tool, enhancing heritage tourism and stimulating economic growth.
